Worth of the EK`s in the future...???....

    Dear Collector fellows,

I was thinking of something, maybe you think its funny or silly, but do you think and EK 2 or EK 1 (1939) will ever be worth thousands in the future ? I guess maybe not or in a few hundred years....??? what do you think ??

    Alll the best.

It's hard to say but I think they will go up. Look at an actual period catalogue and see what they cost. Maybe a couple of dollars each. Then you hear stories from long time collectors about picking up items in the 60's or 70's for what would be considered dirt cheap today. Prices have been rising steadily from what I can see. It's like alot of things. Muscle cars from the early 70's that might have been $4500 new are now bringing anywhere from $100,000 to in some cases approaching a million or more. Of course, in 1970, $4500 was alot of money, so often it's all relevant. Some EKs are in the $400-$800 range now. Certain 1914s and 1870s are beyond this. I've got a couple of EKs in my collection that I have paid $400-close on $600 for so thousands in the future is not a stretch. These items come from the two biggest conflicts in history and the 39 series is associated with one of the most infamous regimes in history, so the events will most likely not fade away from memory in the future.
